Brody Karn

As Chief Operating Officer at Falvey Insurance Group, Brody oversees the company’s operational strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering innovation across all departments. Responsibilities include overseeing IT, Business Intelligence & Innovation, Market Capacity, Legal and Compliance, and collaboration across all departments to support sustainable growth and efficiency. Committed to optimizing processes and delivering value, Brody is dedicated to advancing Falvey’s mission of customer focus, profitability, and operational excellence.

In Brody’s previous role as Associate Counsel and Head of Compliance at Falvey Insurance Group, he was responsible for overseeing all legal and regulatory compliance matters, supporting strategic business initiatives, and ensuring compliance across multiple subsidiaries. With extensive experience in the interplay of marine insurance and law, Brody brings a unique perspective to the leadership team and is dedicated to fostering collaboration across departments to achieve organizational success.

Brody is also an adjunct professor, teaching The Law of Marine Insurance and The Law of Marine Salvage, and has a strong commitment to sharing knowledge within the industry. Brody serves as a board member for several non-profits and sits on various committees of the Maritime Law Association of the United States.  Brody graduated from Penn State University and obtained his Juris Doctor cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law.
