Warehouse legal liability insurance is designed for warehouse operators, as it financially protects them against claims made by third parties. It covers the loss or damage of property the warehouse operator is responsible under the terms of the warehouse receipt during the storage process, including cross-docking, packaging, and storing.

Under this coverage the warehouse operator is the insured, and the covered property is the property of others that is being stored by the operator. The intent of the Warehouse Legal Liability form is to provide coverage fora warehouse operator's liability for property of others that is being stored in the operator's warehouse.

We also can cover additional inland marine coverages for our warehousing operators including but not limited:

  • Tangible goods used to operate the warehouse (forklifts, hand trucks, computers)- contractors equipment as well as warehousing furniture, fixtures and computers.
  • Accounts receivable if the warehouse’s records were damaged in the incident

That said, a warehouse legal liability insurance policy does not cover Acts of God that a warehouse operator could not reasonably control nor prevent from interfering with the stored products.
