On Friday, March 8th, we honor the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. International Women’s Day began in 1911 and is a celebration as well as a call for gender equality, which is reflected in this year’s campaign theme: #BalancedforBetter.
Women have played prominently in the success of Falvey Insurance Group since its founding in 1995. In the traditionally male-dominated marine insurance industry, Falvey is proud to have a gender-balanced company. There are currently three women executives and eight women managers, composing nearly 50 percent of the senior leadership team. In overall staff, more than half (52%) are women.
Our philosophy has always been to hire people who are simply good at what they do, which has naturally resulted in an even gender split.
