Mike Falvey, President of Falvey Insurance Group, spoke at the Entrepreneurial Insurance Symposium on September 6th. The event was hosted in Dallas, TX and focused on innovation and entrepreneurialism in the insurance industry. Over 400 attendees come together to share new ideas, trends and concepts related to insurance distribution, underwriting, and automation.
Several of the speeches at the conference focused on the ever-changing world of technology. In Mike’s speech, “Staying Balanced in Uncertain Times – Leveraging Technology and ‘Everything Else’” he addressed the importance of technology for any business, but encouraged attendees to continue to nurture “everything else”.
What is “everything else”? Mike explained this as developing a culture where all units work towards the same strategy, and equal amounts of time and effort are dedicated to these units and their objectives – hence, “Staying Balanced”.
