One of Falvey Insurance Group’s more recent hires is as comfortable in a budget sheet as she is in a batting stance. Meet Emily Clark, this week’s featured team member.
Emily joined Falvey as an accountant earlier this year and has been a strong addition to the department. Her day-to-day duties include preparing invoices, reconciling accounts and handling collections, updating financial reports, and the like. She also assists with budgeting processes and auditing, as needed. “I just love the atmosphere between coworkers and management at Falvey,” Emily notes. “It’s so nice to come to work every day and I’m excited to continue to learn and take on more responsibility.”
While Emily held similar positions in other companies prior to joining Falvey, most of her accounting background comes from entrepreneurial endeavors. She ran two successful businesses, which taught her some valuable lessons and helped her develop both accounting expertise and real-world financial knowledge.
In her free time, Emily loves to play softball and has traveled all over New England, Florida, and Canada with multiple leagues. She enjoys being a part of a team and confesses to having a competitive streak! Emily is also proud to be a public speaker on the topic of transgender care in a medical setting. She has been a featured speaker at several local colleges, including Brown, Bryant, Rhode Island College, and Roger Williams University.
