In this week’s team spotlight, we’re featuring someone who has mastered the numbers game—so well, in fact, he set records in college. Meet Michael Martinelli.
Michael joined Falvey in 2015 as a staff accountant. His job involves receiving, processing, and recording payments for Falvey Insurance Group (FIG) and its three subsidiaries. His responsibilities also include Bordeaux reporting for Falvey Vessel Pollution Insurance and assisting with overall financial reporting for FIG.
“I am grateful to be a part of a company that treats its employees like family,” Michael says. “Everyone on the finance team is friendly and supportive. We work very well together.”
Prior to joining FIG, Michael worked in the restaurant industry for seven years. Michael has both a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Professional Accountancy from Rhode Island College (RIC). He played for the college’s hockey team for five years and holds the record at RIC for most hockey games played (career total).
Outside of work, Michael loves golfing and still plays hockey every chance he gets.
